Fox Hills Music Teachers Association

music teachers serving the greater Chicagoland area

Who are we?

Fox Hills Music Teachers Association (FHMTA) is a regional group of Chicago-area music teachers dedicated to furthering music education in our communities. Our members come from all over the Fox Valley and McHenry County areas: Barrington, Cary, Crystal Lake, Hebron, Huntley, Lake in the Hills, McHenry, Woodstock, and more!

Together, we create opportunities for our students to share the joy of music with our communities. We meet once each month (except in the summer months) to plan these events and to complete continuing education to further our skills as music teachers. Meetings also provide us with time to share ideas, ask questions, and network with other teachers.

Members of FHMTA are also members of Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
